I live in England and people should do what I do. I've all the Irish channels. I have my Sky Box from Ireland, my activated Sky Card, no phone line connection, no contract and viola....RTE 1, RTE 2, TV 3, TG4!

The RTE know no better, I pay my subscription to Sky on a monthly basis and I've all the Irish channels. And RTE if you are reading, there are THOUSANDS doing this in England!

Easy peasy!

Doesn't this have broader implications. Excuse possible leaps of faith but if this really means FTA as in freesat rather than FTV, which also implies republic of Ireland as well, doesn't this mean that they've just rewritten our supposed dtv strategy and that dtv in Ireland now means FTA? If so what about the alleged insolvable costly royalty issues ?
If it's as I described it's a very sensible step forward.
