'Freeing' RTE etc, would simplify TV for the public ie 'an all in one set top box' solution (people hate complicated tv), it would also rid the skyline of ridiculous giant tv aerials, IT WOULD SPEED UP THE ROLL OUT OF DIGITAL TV USING EXISTING TECHNOLOGY. Why should I have to pay Sky or NTL to get stations I fund with my Licence Fee.
